Llyn Brenig is recognised as one of the best top-of-the-water fisheries in the UK. Stocked with rainbow trout, fishing is by fly only. The fish are reared on site, in the cold Brenig water and are fully acclimatised. They have a deserved reputation as fierce fighters. The lake is best fished by boat - boat hire being available by advance booking. Permits are available for multi-method fishing at the adjacent Alwen reservoir. The on-site shop has tackle and permits. The Brenig café serves one of the best breakfasts around. Pike fishing is also available, please ring the fishing shop for further information. |
